1. My favorite book is probably Stumptown Kid because it is a sports book but it also is like a mystery. The character was a very risky person who had to make a ton of decisions.
2. I like to read realistic fiction.
3. I just finished the book Gym Candy by Carl Dueker. The theme of this book is try your hardest, but do not take it too far. This book is about a boy named Mick Johnson who is a star football player. After the Junior Starting running back gets hurt, Mick gets the starting position. Mick was stopped in one of his last run of the season, and then he decided that he had to become stronger. During the summer Mick started lifting weights and running. After a few weeks with his personal trainer, his trainer offered him steroids. At first Mick turned down the drugs but then he comes back and wants them. He is on the drugs and it sort of becomes a bit obvious because when he goes to hang out with a girl and his friend Drew at a lake you can see the side effect of over usage. I think that this fits the theme because Mick wanted to become a awesome football player but he took it to far by taking drugs to become better. I thought that this was taking it too far.
